2019 Georgia Wake Series Dates Announced

February 26, 2019

Atlanta, Georgia (February 26, 2019) Action Event Group, LLC is pleased to announce the 2019 Georgia Wake Series. 2018 was a tremendous success with four boat and four cable stops across the summer and throughout the state. For 2019, the Georgia Wake Series continues its trajectory with bigger prizes, better events, and an increased purse, as the most balanced and forward-thinking grassroots series in the country.

The Georgia Wake Series kicks off 2019 with a weekend event, starting on Saturday with a boat stop on Lake Spivey, a private lake on the outskirts of metro Atlanta, followed by a return to Terminus Wake Park for the first park event on Sunday. Next, we head to the Olympic Rowing Venue at Lake Lanier in conjunction with the 5th Annual John Jarrard Lakeshow. We'll make a run down I-75 and visit the brain trust of the park world for an awesome two-day event at Valdosta Wake Compound. In July we'll knock out the third boat event on the flat waters of the Flint for the 11th Annual Wakefest in Albany. The 2019 Series will then come to an exciting conclusion with a back-to-back event, including a final boat stop at legendary Lake Acworth on Saturday, followed by the season finale at Terminus Wake Park on Sunday.

Series Director Brandon Lee said, "2018 was a phenomenal year for the Georgia Wake Series. Through creating an equal amount of boat and cable stops, changing a couple of locations, and switching to Nautique for the second half of the series, we felt like we finally achieved an excellent framework that caters to everyone. The positive response and participation numbers, which were the highest in the Series' history, drawing participants from across the Southeast, support that. For 2019 the Series is going to build off of 2018's proven platform with tweaks and improvements as needed. We are excited to go into year four of what has quickly become the most popular grassroots wakeboard series in the country!"

The Georgia Wake Series is proud to have the continued support of several key brands, including e-commerce giant and longtime supporter Buywake.com, a partnership that has been ongoing since the Series' inception.

For 2019, Action Event Group is proud to announce a premier relationship with WaterSports Central, Georgia's exclusive Nautique dealer. All 2019 boat events will be pulled entirely by the icon of wakeboard & wakesurf boats: the 2019 Nautique G23. Having been awarded the Riders Choice Award as the 5X Wakeboard Boat of the Year, the G23 is the perfect fit for the Georgia Wake Series, whose focus is on progression and good times on the water.
